Up for auction is an elegant Swiss made Britix men's watch, with an automatic movement that is working accurately. It features a round gold plated case made from stainless steel , housing a 1560 F caliber clock mechanism with 25 jewels. Dating back to 1960's, this is a wonderful example of a stylish and collectible vintage Britix watch. They moved to Lengnau later on in 1945. In 1949, they had around 22 employees. Except for Britix, they also made more watches under different brand names, back then there was a large scale collaboration in the Swiss watch brand sector. Some believe there was a collaboration between Breitling, Wakmann, and Britix. As the story goes, Breitling made the watches and Wakmann sold them under the name Britix or Wakmann Britix. Breitling used the Venus movements as well. Condition of the watch is shown in the pictures: please do study them well to be your own judge. Any visible wear is strictly due to age that will always accompany a vintage watch such as this one. History :

Britix Watch Company was founded in 1940 and was originally located in La Chaux-de-Fonds. They moved to Lengnau later on in 1945.
In 1949, they had around 22 employees. Except for Britix, they also made more watches under different brand names, back then there was a
large scale collaboration in the Swiss watch brand sector.

Some believe there was a collaboration between Breitling, Wakmann, and Britix. As the story goes, Breitling made the watches
and Wakmann sold them under the name Britix or Wakmann Britix. Breitling used the Venus movements as well.
