The left button is for ejecting the record, the right one is for switching from Radio to Record. The construction is in general similar to that of the Mignon player for mains supply. The suspension of the frame is adjusted for use in a car and the engine runs on DC (6 or 12 volts). The recording element needs to be connected to the volume control of the car radio. The adapter AG7019 was available for use on a 24 volts battery. This fully-automatic device was introduced at the Hannover Messe in 1959. The production took place in Berlin, and was very successful. 500,000 of these devices were made. The end of the Car Mignon was determined with the introduction of the Compact Cassette in 1963. Nevertheless, this device was sold until the early 1970s, after 1965 as the Philips 22GA101. These have not been tested, functioning unknown.
