Large model (unique) 9 in wood and sheet metal, representative of the society of the waters of Hanoi during the French protectorate, dating from the end of the nineteenth century. Model in very good condition. Factory built between 1894 and 1896.
Usine des Eaux that distributes the water of the city of Hanoi was built in 1894-96 at the expense of the protectorate. Exploitation was entrusted to a contractor by contract. Buildings and the pipes were released in 1905 to the city which renewed in 1919 the contract with the dealer Mr. BEDAT. Copied text in:(France Indochine histoire et mémoire).
