Here is a very nice set of 8 dessert spoons in vermeil.
They are marked with three hallmarks:
Manufacturer's stamp (photo n° 12: diamond with a hare and figured L L, for the master goldsmith of the Anjou region, The Hare. Some of whose items are classified as objects in the Heritage of Historical Monuments.
Rectangular hallmark (photo 13), (950/000) 1st grade silver: an old bearded man in profile, called "Au vieillard" with the number 1 for Paris.
Round guaranty mark: a mascaron face (photo 14).
Period: These stamps were in effect between 1819-1838.
Very nice condition. Beautiful gilding on silver, the photos do not do justice to these spoons, they are more gilt than in the photos.
