Beautiful landscape with characters, signed D. Tartaglia with authentication on back. Damiano Tartaglia, a famous painter from Salerno, born in Eboli in 1940, who’s reached high quotations. The painting is in excellent condition. Overall size: 57 x 47 cm, painting only: 40 x 30 cm. Tartaglia moves away from the concrete expression of reality, that always springs from experienced situations and states of mind. He rather abstracts it from particularism and offers its audience a mass of colours initially indistinct, which slowly make the abstract real, penetrating into the depths of the soul, and are then able to arouse emotions and feelings, materialised and slowly detaching from the canvas to reach the audience’s soul.
